I think it might be vapor lock. I had a gto a long time ago when ever it got hot and humid I had the same problem. The fix is putting a close line pin on the rubber fuel line.

Absolutely Beautiful Gorgeous. Love it. I own a 70 model C20 stepside longbed. This is one of the nicest trucks on your lot ever and it's got a Holley Matt. Congratulations on being a newer dad. Liam is coming along. I was thinking that's the truck I would help him buy after he worked and saved just a little money and then teach him how to make money with it and then give him the keys to a wrecker that pulls 18 wheelers. Pro tip on old 4:speed cars before you go put it in reverse put it in 2nd gear then go grab reverse n it won't grind. Did a 389 engine go in a 69 GTO or was it a 400/455 I'm not sure . 389 4 barrel or tri-power or what. Needs brake upgrade to disc and booster. Gotta stop that beast.

Nik you did a great job considering the situation, I had a 68 cutlas convertible motor was the same But I found one for 100$ parts car swayed out all the good stuff .
